Unplayable when it arrived. I play guitar and iI have played Godins for well over 13 years. The Action us sky high both at bridge and nut , had to remove both a shave off mm's, will need to buy a new replacement nut now.
The pickguard moves around all over the place leaving a sticky residue on the body and also on your fingers, whatever glue Godin are using needs to be replaced, Thomann VS addressed this promptly.
All in all a bit of a disappointment really, and I was up till this point a Godin fan but you can't be sendingunplayable instruments out with glue all over them. The sound is bright but the time knob helps dampen the high end

Beautifully crafted

I’m delighted I bought this mandolin. I wanted to upgrade from an entry level mandolin and had seen a lot of positive reviews of this Seagull. I took a chance and ordered it and am really happy with it. Thomann delivery was efficient and quick.

Pros.. very sturdy, nicely crafted, clear tone, great resonance, has pickup with sturdy volume & tone knobs. Sounds great acoustic and even better plugged in.

Cons.. none.

Alles in allem eine super klingende Mandoline mit Abzügen in der Verarbeitung

Das Instrument klingt so, wie ich es mir erwartet hatte.
Die Kritik, die schon von anderen Käufern vorgebracht wurde, kann ich bestätigen: Saitenlage viel zu hoch, ich musste kräftig den Einsatz der Brücke herunterpfeilen, um auf eine Standard Saitenlage zu kommen, die im 12. Bund unter der G-Saite der Höhe einer 10 Cent Münze entspricht und an der E-Saite der einer 2 Cent Münze. Leider zeigte die Drehung im Uhrzeigersinn am Halsstab keine nennenswerte Änderung. Jetzt spielt sich das Instrument relativ leicht. Der Tonabnehmer klingt klasse, und als Option für Bühne optimal. Der Klangregler könnte besser greifen, senkt oder hebt die oberen Frequenzen wohl recht beitbandig an bzw. ab. Die Potis laufen schön rund und mit Widerstand und haben Mittenrasterung.
Das kleine Schlagbrett aus Plastik hat leider Klebereste, die an den Rändern austreten, die Hände und die umliegende Decke verschmutzen...sehr unschön...ich werde die Klebereste behutsam entfernen. Ansonsten ist das Instrument sauber verarbeitet in allen Bereichen.
Das Instrument bekommt insgesamt gute 4 Punkte, ohne die genannten Mängel wären es satte 5 geworden. Bei 5 muss alles stimmen....
Das Beste zum Schluß: das Instrument kam im im originalen Gigbag. Der sollte nicht dabei sein. Danke Thomann. :-))
