Too pricey for the performance

I bought this mallet as I have a Dragonfly Percussion Tranquility Inviter RBI-TIF, and it's my favorite, most used mallet for singing bowls. I thought this would perform better than a 'standard' felt wrapped wooden mallet. I was wrong.

I have 3 different sized 'cheap' wooden mallets and between them they get better results withanappropriately sized bowl. You really need the right size for rubbing, so the Dragonfly was never going to replace all 3, much to my disapointment.

By the time I had worked out the dragonfly wasnt appreciably better sounding, it had visible signs of use so I felt I could not return for money back.

The leather wand is beautifully made, feels nice to hold - but I dont find it creates a better sound or experience for rubbing. I would not buy again, but would recommend if you want a posh rubbing stick.
