After trying 5Bs and ?extreme? 5Bs by all major brands I think I found my ideal drumsticks in the Tama Oak Lab Resonator. They?re made of Japanese oak, that is harder than hickory (the usual choice for drumsticks), and they are slightly longer (4 mm) and heavier than the standard 5B, therefore they are more durable and have more punch than the usual 5B (although they are easy to control). A good choice for anyone looking for something a little punchier than 5B, without venturing in the realm of 2Bs.

Surprisingly good sticks

I love those sticks .They are very quick , have a nice rebound and feel. I really dig the tip which produces a nice mellow tone on the ride and enhance the low tones.
On thing though to keep in mind. They are very light ( around 103 grams) so they are not meant to produce heavy backbeat.

Stabile Sticks

Ich spiele gern musik der härteren Richtung und da müssen die Sticks viel aushalten. Normalerweise zersplittern mir die köpfe oder der Bereich, der den Rim der Snare beim Rimshot trifft recht schnell.
Bei diesen Sticks ist das nicht der Fall, das Material ist sehr Widerstandsfähig.
Leider ist mir die Länge und Durchmesser der Sticks ein bisschen zu klein, benutze sie deswegen nur zum Üben und nicht für Recordings.
