Il miglior compressore che abbia mai avuto. Facile da usare e settare. Versatile e soprattutto silenzioso. Le barre led sono di ottimo aiuto come fantastico ed utile è il filtro HP (@120Hz). The Best!

THE compressor

In my opinion the best compressor currently out there to grab.
Compact size, full (studio-grade) control and amazing, noise-free operation. Very transparent sound, hardly any coloration of the original signal (unless you want it to with the tilt EQ tone knob).
Due to the separate attack, decay, blend and tone knobs; any type of compression setting is possible with this superb device.
It equally works well with my Les Pauls, ES-s, Starts, Teles and Super-strats.
If I could only keep one compressor (hope never happens! ), this would be it!
Can’t recommend it enough!

Best compressor I’ve ever used

I was convinced to get this over a Boss CP-1X or Cali 76 after watching Benn Jordan’s video about them on Youtube.
If you’re interested in the sound of it I recommend checking out that review.

It’s a great compressor. Sound-wise I can’t fault it. Offering anything from subtle compression to super-squashed as well as a bunch of other bells and whistles and a powerful EQ section.

The only criticism I have is that the knobs/pots feel a little fragile. The aluminium knobs that Empress have chosen feel light/cheap, which is a consideration for something you’ll be treading on.

Ich habe mir das Pedal angeschafft, weil ich vor allem bei Soli einen "dichteren" Sound haben wollte, ohne dass er zuviel gefärbt wird. Ich habe mich nach langer Recherche für den Empress Effects entschieden und was soll ich sagen: Das Teil bleibt auf meinem Board! Es tut was es soll, die Kompression ist von sanft bis hart einstellbar. Genau so wie die Attack- und Releasezeiten, viele Produkte von Konkurrenten haben feste Werte.

Parallele Kompression ist dank des Mix-Reglers kein Problem, auch soundmäßig kann mit dem Tone-Regler noch nachjustiert werden. Dank der LEDs sieht man auf einen Blick den Input Level und die Gain Reduction. Die Sidechain-Option habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert, ist aber ein nettes Feature. Genau so wie die Möglichkeit, das Pedal so einzustellen, dass es bei Power On eingeschaltet oder eben auf Stand By ist.

Fazit: Es hat seinen Preis, den ist es aber auch wert! Daher von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
