All Wired Up!

I am putting together a new PA System. I decided to make my own speakon cables. After consulting with the always helpful elves in Thomann, I decided to use this cable even though I am only making 10m cables. (Advice given was that SPK215 is suitable for cable up to 15m & 225 for anything above that) I chose the heavier of the 2 as you will get better strain relief overall and this will help the cables last longer. Also if I need to do a run longer than 15m I can connect 2 cables with an adapter without worrying about loss of sound quality. I purchased some NL2FX Neutrik Connectors and I had the cables made in about 15 minutes.

The cables are to run from my T,Amp TA1400MK-X to my DAS DS-15 tops. The sound quality is perfect to my ears.

The cable itself is of good quality and you would have to spend quite a bit more to get anything comparable. It's rolls up easy enough. I am sure their are more flexible options out there but for 90% of DJ's & Musicians etc, this cable will more than do the job. It is awesome value as well. I highly recommend. I will be ordering more of this cable to have to make spares as needed.

I would strongly recommend people make their own cables if they have the tools. It's super easy. Their is no soldering involved & their are some great online tutorials showing you how to do. You will save a few €€€'s towards your next gear order. Thanks again Thomann!

Not bad!

For the price its pretty damn good, east to solder, easy to connect to speakon connectors.
Jacket is good quality and does not rip easy.
One issue is that it isn't that flexible and doesn't coil the best.
Its perfect for installation but id recommend something more flexible for live usage.

Good, durable and beefy speaker, cable. Doesn't want to coil very easily, but it's because it's made for instals, which it is perfect for.

Bad plastic

I've bought this cable because it is really cheap.
I am not satisfied with it. It does what it's supposed to be and is easy to solder. However, the cable jacket seems to be made of low quality plastic. It is very difficult to remove the outer jacket without damaging the inner isolation. The
isolation itself is very delicate when it comes to heating, so you have to
be really quick about soldering.
I advise you rather get the Cordial CLS 225. It might be a little bit more expensive,
but it is more flexible and durable at the same time. That'll spare your nerves.
