I have owned Pearl multiclamps and these. Tama beats Pearl in this competition, hands down.
I use these to hold my tom arms in my gigging drum set, and man these do the job great. The round nuts stay in place when I throw these into my stand case because of the spring-notch combination, so only thing you have to adjust while setting up is the wing nut, which you need to tighten/loosen anyway every time you are setting up. With Pearl the round nuts will get loose or tight when they are in my stand case. The other thing I love about these is that I have to loosen up the wing nut just a little bit to take this away from my stand because I can slide it away. With Yamaha you have to open up the whole thing.
From now on, all the multiclamps I'm gonna buy are going to be from Tama. I will gladly pay the extra money for the convenience.
