The sound is loud, and really good for rock! But not much else though.
Bought a 14" 16" and 18" AAXplosions since they seemed like quality, and cymbals that could take a pounding. After just a while though, two of the cymbals(16 & 18) cracked from the body (signs of manufacturing defect).
I sent some messages with thomann and they said they would send it to Sabian and then Sabian would determine wether it was their fault ( In which case they would send a new one for free ) , or someone elses ( In which case I would end up paying the postages to Canada ).

At the time I didnt have the money to send it and possibly end up paying if Sabian simply pointed the blame at me, so I just ended up with two broken cymbals with most likely manufacturing defects.

Would recomment Sabians bought used, since it appears defects are frequent, and they show up early.

I bought this to replace my old cracked 18'' AAXplosion. A big sounding cymbal. Top quality that you come to expect from Sabian. Great tone and sustain. Perfect for rock / metal. Excellent for making sure your guitarists don't get too close.

étant batteur dans un groupe de rock et utilisateur de la marque Sabian depuis des années, je considère la AAXplosion comme la meilleure de sa catégorie aussi bien en brillance qu'en sustain. Très stable, elle possède une gamme de sons très intéressante aussi bien en attaque qu'en rythmique.
J'en suis extrêmement satisfait en tout point!
