Great value for the money!

Bass- and Guitarplayer 28.09.2020

I'm a professional musician. Bass is actually my first instrument, but I also do gigs as a guitarist occasionally. The Larry Carlton H7 played really well right out of the box, and the sound of this guitar blew me away! I've got two Les Pauls, one with P90's, and a Standard with Burstbucker Pro Pu's. The H7 actually sounded better than my Les Paul Standard. The only thing that maybe leaves something to be desired, is the nut. It wasn't that well made. And I also changed the strings it came with, because they were substandard. Other than that, a fantastic instrument, and great value for the money!

Laadukas soitin

Hyvä ja laadukkaasti valmistettu soitin. Edullisen soittimen ominaisuus kaulassa, lakattu ja hieman tahmea, mutta menettelee kunhan käsi ei hikoile. Jos etsii huippusoitinta, jotain muuta kannattaa kokeilla.

Poor design/manufacturing

I returned the guitar right after I received it, so I cannot say much about sound and features.
After receiving the guitar I removed the strings, as the ones it came with were corroded and unplayable. I noticed the nut was pretty loose and almost jumped out as the last string was removed. Looking more closely at the nut slot I noticed that the trussrod was sitting proud of the bottom of the nut slot causing the nut to properly sit in the slot. It was rocking on both sides with a high point in the middle. Only with pressure the nut was able to sit flat in the slot, which then meant that the trussrod was pushed down constantly and clearly not doing what it is supposed to do.
Unsure if this is a manufacture error or an issue with the design, but since I noticed that the frets were also not installed very well and super rough on the top, I decided to return the guitar and keep looking for alternative guitars. Thomann support was very good and handled the return swiftly.

Great guitar but!

This is an amazingly good guitar, I absolutely loved it but sadly I knew I couldn’t live with the weight.. 4 kg is too much to have hanging round your neck for a 2 hour plus set.. also the neck at the nut is a little to narrow but I could live with that if it was lighter…
I returned the guitar..
