Active PA speaker in a compact design

The JBL EON715 active full-range speaker with a peak power rating of 1300 watts is eminently suitable for the PA needs of medium-sized and large venues. This portable loudspeaker comprises a digital three-channel mixer with DSP effects, an eight-band equaliser for optimised sound output, a rear-facing LC display and buttons, and state-of-the-art dbx DriveRack technology, which reliably ensures automatic feedback suppression. The JBL EON715 active PA speaker also features two jack/XLR combo sockets for versatile connection options, Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio streaming, and two ergonomic handles that allow it to be securely and comfortably transported from one venue to the next. In a nutshell, the JBL EON715 offers users a versatile and reliable solution for a wide range of PA applications that is perfectly complemented by JBL's industry-leading extended seven-year warranty.

JBL EON715

Power and versatility combined

At its heart, the JBL EON715 active speaker comprises a custom-made 15" woofer with a ferrite magnet and a powerful 1" 2414H compression driver with a neodymium magnet for an excellently balanced response alongside an improved high-frequency horn that delivers a particularly smooth off-axis beam width. Overall, the JBL EON715 features a frequency response that goes from 45Hz to 20kHz, a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 128dB, and an ultra-efficient Class-D amp that ensures a crystal-clear sound even at high amplification levels. The LC display, which is located above the jack/XLR combo sockets on the rear panel, allows users to adjust the settings for feedback suppression and a wide range of effects, including EQ, limiter, delay, and ducking. What is more, all parameters can also be wirelessly controlled via a smartphone or tablet PC using the free JBL Pro Connect app.

About JBL

JBL is an American company founded by James B. Lansing in 1946, which first went under the name of Lansing Sound Inc. Following legal disputes with Lansing's previous company, Altec Lansing, Lansing Sound Inc. changed its name first to James B. Lansing Sound Inc., and then finally to JBL in 1949. JBL's current headquarters are based in Los Angeles, USA. The company is well known for its audio system equipment, including loudspeakers and headphones, and is divided into two branches: JBL Consumer, which is dedicated to the consumer sector, and JBL Professional, which is focused on the professional audio sector and offers equipment for studios, live applications, and cinemas. JBL has been a part of Harman International Industries Inc. since 1969, which in 2017 became a subsidiary of the Samsung Group.

Versatile application options

This compact high-performance loudspeaker can be flexibly used as part of a main PA speaker setup or as a floor monitor. Placing the JBL EON715 in a horizontal position on the stage floor for monitoring purposes is child's play thanks to the cabinet's wedge-shaped design, while the 36mm pole flange at the bottom allows the speaker to be mounted on an optional subwoofer to create a PA setup with a particularly powerful bass sound. Alternatively, the JBL EON715 can also be used as a flying speaker using the integrated M10 suspension points at the top and rear and a suitable suspension bracket (available separately). The indexed feet, which are firmly moulded into the robust housing, ensure fast and easy stacking of several speaker cabinets for stand-up configurations. It is also possible to pair two JBL EON715 PA speakers in stereo mode and avoid cable chaos using the True Wireless Stereo mode for Bluetooth audio streaming.
